DCF is going to take custody if this vote fails is my understanding from the Governor's press conference.

Did Jeb actually say that at the press conference? I haven't been able to find anything on the internet regarding DCF taking custody.

He didn't .. he had the women from DCF recit the law

Seems the law states they can put Terry in protective custody .. but would not further commnet on the issue

I saw the Jeb Bush press conference earlier in the day. In response to press questions, his subordinate (lady Dr. in assistance to the disabled) said that the Governor would have the power to take Terri Schaivo into protective custody. HOWEVER, this right to act depended on the passage of the bill that was just defeated. I did not understand Gov. Bush to have claimed any such power in the absence of that new law.
