Two possibiliteis, here:
1. You were conversing with someone who is CINO (Christian In Name Only). Many heretics and apostates still attend churches everywhere; it's their substitute for mebership in the Rotary or Kiwanis Clubs.
2. You were conversing with someone more recently brought to faith who has not yet fully realized all of the moral ramifications of the techings of Scripture. For many converts, that is a real process of growth and change and they need alot of grace and mercy along the way.
Option one without a doubt. But it was not just this person. Read the posts. I am noticing more and more John Kerrys ("I'm personally opposed to abortion, but I will not impose my personal beliefs in the political arena" or something like that). Believe me I will fight these people all day long and with the Lord as my strength I will never tire.
This person yesterday said that I had a lot of nerve calling into question their christianity in this matter. I told her I will now and always question those who inaccurately portray my Lord and that it is the duty of every Christian to do so. We are striving every day to be Christ-like and I can say without a doubt that Christ would not want this woman starved.
