Rebuffed by the courts and unsuccessful in the legislature, state officials may attempt to place Terri Schiavo under protective custody so her feeding tube can be reinserted, The Herald learned this afternoon.

For the love of God, take Terri into protective custody. Base it on the effectual obstruction of justice that Greer has in essence committed in denying protective care to Terri while the state protective service abuse investigation regarding her is ongoing and until that investigation is complete.
The very object of that investigation is to PROTECT TERRI. This cannot happen if she dies. Greer has trampled separation in his comments regarding the request. Either get another Judge to issue the order and use that to take her into protective custody, or act on your executive authority and constitutional standinge as Governor.
Sincerely,
Jeff Head
Lucy Hadi, secretary of the Department of Children and Families, said the state investigation into potential abuse is ongoing and the state is required by law to file a petition to bring Schiavo into state care if an emergency exists. The state does not have to wait for a court to act, she said.
This tragic case has convinced me beyond a reasonable doubt that we need a new Constitutional Convention to reign in an out of control judiciary.
Unsuccessful in the legislature? Have they had today's vote then?
A belated welcome to the Free Republic.
When the ugly truth is laid out for all the sheeple to see, we're looking ant the third Bush presidency.
WELL THEN HURRY THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!
and read #2, 3 for more info
what r they waiting 4!
So what are they waiting for! Emminent death seems like a pretty big emergency to me!
They are doing that now!!!
It wouldn't be necessary if the executive and legislative branches would stand up to them.
My only concern is that they will get into a tug of war with this woman. Feeding tube in, feeding tube out.
That would amount to torture.
I pray for her to be at peace.
Yep!! It's Jeb!!!!
So what are they waiting for?? This woman cannot have much more time.
Roger that! The courts are out of control. Greer is as bad as the southern judges that once allowed whites to rape and murder blacks without fear of punishment. Many federal judges are as bad as the Supreme Court in 1896 when it authorized racial segregation. Today's judges may not be racially prejudiced, but they have a Nazi like prejudice against those with brain injuries.
