Of course there are exceptions...I worked with a few of them.
It is one thing I do wonder about. Given the neglect of the past few years have the licensing boards ever been involved?
If a family memeber of a patient told me not to do ROM, normal nursing care, I'd smile, say "Thank you very much" and do it anyway. And if I was fired for doing my job--I would not go quietly.

That is am excellent point!
I went to massage school/took my Board Exam in FL and was a licensed FL MT for about 4 years (never worked there, but my state didn't have massage licensing back then and I wanted to keep qualified in a licensed state). Florida's DORL (can't recall if that is what they call it there) is TOUGH! In WI, you have to kill someone, steal drugs, or have sexual contact to lose a license, but Florida (& NY) has the toughest rules I have ever seen. Also, there are stirct penalties for falsely accusing someone.
