On Fox News Channel, Martha McCallum just announced that Florida governor Jeb Bush will make a statement on the Terri Schiavo case at 3 PM EST.
Plum anurysm's aren't always peaceful.
I think I would have said something like "Dying in your sleep" for a comparison if I was trying to show a peaceful death.
Whatever happened to those congressional subpoenas? Anything? I would think even the Dems wouldn't want a precedent of a state judge saying he can ignore a congressional subpoena.
That's a good point that should be vocalized more often.
I've said this several times on these threads, but it needs to be said again. Cranford is an agenda-driven expert witness who always testifies to patients being in PVS. He never diagnoses that they are not, although some of his patients have recovered after his testimony. One of his patients, Robert Wendland, could crudely operate his own wheelchair and put colored blocks in a grid, but Cranford stated he was in PVS. The guy is a real piece of work.
Feminine form of 'larcenist'?

He's busy............. sly folks with helpful water........... perhaps a little too late, but I doubt it!
Rush and Laura Ingram talked about the skewed polls. The question that is REPORTED in the story is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the question in the actual poll.
Also the sample is too small.
Remember these are the same people who did the Kerry wins exit polls.
Peach ones aren't either
Outstanding!
Is the Latin part "Death conquers all"?
I've been wondering whether anyone should be in that hospice. Don't hospices refuse anyone who is expected to live more than six months? And didn't the "doctor" there go along with MS's refusal of any therapy or treatment for Terri -- according to the nurse who IIRC was fired for objecting?
LOL!
plum=plus
I was thinking further ahead than I was typing.
right. It is inhuman what is happening. All the evil doers want an out. They want to "fell" like Terri "just died." The fact is they are responsible for killing her. Someone should have drug Greer to her bedside and and handed him a needle with a lethal injection and said, "go ahead, kill her." If he injected her , it would have been more humane than this torture. I wonder if he would have gone through with killing her -- if he had to be the one to inject? Greer should at least sit by her side -- Let him witness the consequences of his actions.
poop.
are you sure?
I am expecting a full investigation on the hospice..... when this is all over.
But none of those people is *currently* living with severe brain damage. The people who are "living like this" can't answer polls.
It's natural for healthy, fully-functional people to believe very strongly that it would be unspeakable, worse than death, to be disabled. However, the mentally-disabled themselves aren't thinking, with the mind of an undamaged person, "How terrible it is to be like this!"
They are capable of happiness and satisfaction at their own mental level, just as babies are. An adult is unlikely to agree that he would like to have the mental and physical capacity of a young baby - but when he was a baby, if he was loved and cared for, he was happy with his life.
Profoundly handicapped people and babies are neither productive nor independent, but they are still valuable - not only because they are, if nothing else, unique, unrepeatable human beings, but because of the opportunities they offer others to give love, simply and unselfishly.
And while a baby is not helpless and uncommunicative for 15 years ... after each baby, there's the next one! I've been caring for people who can't feed themselves, communicate clearly, or use the bathroom on their own for almost 14 years, and I expect to be doing so for some years more. We think it's good.
Last night Hannity said they had to payback 12 million for medicare fraud.
I always thought a hospice was meant for terminal patients. Perhaps they believed her terminal in the beginning, but after several months, you would have to assume logically, that she would be moved somewhere else.
Any healthcare folks have an answer?
