I found this to be a bit shocking, to say the least.

Why is it that "choice" always seems to involve coercion on the part of the boyfriend, parents, or others?

I got pregnant at 15 and made several adult decisions on my own and abortion was not one of them.
To: stylin_geek
There was a failure on the part of the partents.
As the father of a 2-year-old, I can see how the child is able to manipulate parents, sometimes one parent more than the other. If we trained our children that abortion is murder, and that God demands life-for-life as a root legal principle (Gen 9:6), they would consider something besides "their" rights and "their" body. They would consider the fact of murder.

It is done. America, the great country I once knew has become infected with satan's minions. These things, once thought of as impossible in the U.S., cannot be carried out without the compiance and assistance of millions.
Nobody cares.
Like a desperate third world country, life in America is cheapened to the point of no return.

The police in the community in which the family lives allegedly told the girl's mom that they couldn't intervene despite her making a charge that her daughter had been raped (by statute) because the charge was stale--7 weeks after the incident. How else do they suppose the girl became pregnant? Do they think a stork came to visit? Stupid-heads.
The next thing we'll find is that the parents of the rapist are exceedingly infuential in that town. The police are helping to protect them.

Wow! I am speechless. Under age and pregnant, someone should be arrested and not the mother!
To: stylin_geek
I just hope the parents of this girl follow through with action against this clinic and the boyfriends mother. For them to get away with this is dispicable. For the parents to let them get away with it is even more so!

How dare this girl's Mother, attempt to stop the family of the punk who knocked her up from forcing their family's values (or the complete lack thereof) upon her daughter.

That is correct my fellow parents, we have no rights in this issue...
The school needs parental permission to give your child an aspirin. But murder your unborn grandchild? No permission needed there.
This is sick and as a parent I cannot promise I would not resort to vigilantism.

Outrageous!
If you substitute anything else for "abortion" in this story, the faux grandma would be under arrest for kidnapping.
This is completely appalling.

Why aren't there consequences for statutory rape and kidnapping? Why aren't the LEOs in this particular jurisdiction removed from office for dereliction of duty?
There should be butts in jail for this!!
