I am Christian and conservative, as is my wife. We believe that removing the tube is the right action as we both would not want to kept alive ourselves. I know this troubles you...but as a Christian, you know she is 1/2 step from God. I
hope you can take some measure of comfort in that.

But that's not your decision to make for her. That's the point. I commend your faith and belief . . . I agree with you that certain peace will be upon her if she passes, but that's not for you or me to impose what we would like done on to her. There are plenty of reasons to doubt Michael Schiavo's version of events, hence, his assertion that this is her wish must be questioned.

I am Christian and conservative, as is my wife. We believe that removing the tube is the right action as we both would not want to kept alive ourselves. That's fine. Neither do I. However in this case, there is only the testimony of an unreliable witness regarding what Terri would want. That is the central issue, regardless of what you and I want for ourselves.

The only problem with your thesis is that
she has not decided this for herself. Someone is making the decision to KILL her. That is not Christian in the least.
When there is any doubt (and there are grave doubts in this situation) in such issues, YOU ERR ON THE SIDE OF LIFE. That is the Christian thing to do, clearly.
