I wrote this to a FReeper earlier. She was feeling much frustration with many here I believe because of what was, in her mind, a careless disregard for morality and the well-being of an innocent and quite defenseless girl, Terri Schiavo.
The intelligent and good FReeper was at the point of wanting to leave FR. So I wrote her:

I'm getting a feeling (or a wish) that today (Wednesday) the Federal marshals or some others are going to take control of this abysmal situation. Unlike the Elian Gonzalez catastrophe, this will be for the good of a human being.
Maybe in the future it can be referred to as 'Good Wednesday'. Because the more I learn about this entire case, this girl has been done wrong since the very beginning and things must be righted. What is happening now must end....... well.

I implore all who care about the wrongness of all this to contact the White House, contact anyone who could have something to do with getting action TODAY. There can not be any more wasted time and destruction of this innocent girl. If this husband is much of what we suspect, this matter should not be allowed to end in her death by these brutal means!
It is similar in that the government thought it was best for the person.
Hopefully "their lot" will not satisfy you. Do you not want this girl to be saved today?
As I recall (I may be wrong), the Romans didn't arrest that person. We've come a long way down the wrong road in 2000 years.

Don't get frustrated. We didn't get here overnight and things won't change overnight. We need to keep pushing/rolling back. Some see the train going in the wrong direction as proof that we are losing. That is an incorrect view. If the rate of forward progress has been slowed, that says we are winning. And yes, we have are winning here. Look at how the debate over life issues has been thrust into the national spotlight. Look how one more time, the run-away, imperial judiciary has had a 1000 watt light shown on it. Stay the course, learn from our enemies. Steady, incremental progress.
What about putting more pressure on those two holdouts in the FL state legislature? Anyone know who the two holdouts are?
It does seem to be getting to that point, but I keep hoping for something like 'a collective good will', 'a collective enlightenment' to send some kind of overpowering "vibe" to G. W. and others in order for them to take ACTION today. I believe in things like this.
I have called several times for "civil disobedience" in this matter.
It is our duty to as not only Americans but as humans.

Anyhow, please try to help something happen today. I think it can.

My wife wrote to the President tonight and asked him how he would feel if one of his daughters were to marry some psycho who tried to kill her and then cover it up when he failed by having the courts do it for him.
If she is allowed to be murdered, this frog will have noticed a definite change in the surrounding water temperature. No longer will I be complacent regarding any facet of our government. Being a veteran, the only part of the Fed system I'll trust will be the military. The legislative and judicial branches have never truly been on our side, and neither was the last executive branch. I had higher hopes for this one.
Since when does our government actively protect the lives of criminals entering our nation illegally while executing legitimate citizens who have committed NO CRIMES?
I'd like to know the names of those two FL legislators so that I can call them up and ask what they'll do if, should Terri die, they then learn that Schiavo was lying.
