"Man electrocted ... "If I remember correctly, this was probably that 'mistaken appointment' President Bush was talking about a few months ago.
But I'm sure President Bush meant electrActed.

Sadly, this is very near the trailer park I stay at when I am in the Auburn area. This guy could sell the copper wire at the local flea market, (Or maybe he was the one selling it?) Too bad people have to pay such a high price for locating and harvesting such a commodity, but I guess the price of copper is always going up. They use a lot of delta wiring now, so there is no neutral wire. Bummer.

I guess that wire would have been considered hot merchandise.

If Carson was on this case, he would investigate the copper clapper keleptoto caper in cleveland in the copper-clapper caper. (I wish I could remember the Carson lines).

This story reminds me of a case of a co-worker, at a major defense contractor. On a hot, muggy day, he wrapped himself with many, many feet of copper cable, put on his trench coat and walked out to the parking lot. Unfortunately for him, he passed out halfway to his car.

Same thing happend a few years ago on top of a canister size transformer next to my house. A large barn owl swooped down to land on top of the transformer, a loud pop, a split second later, all that was left was a pile of feathers on top of the transformer.

It's always sad to see such a loss of a life (even a dumb one).
Since it was terminal, at least there's no chance of the guy being "charged" with anything and absolutely no chance of the case "surging" through the courts. (I know, I know, -- bowing head in shame for such comments.)

Natural laws don't have stays of execution. I love the way physics doesn't give a rat's @ss about legal wrangling.

Shocking! Truly shocking. Hopefully the wires are now safe. Perhaps some lawyer will realize there was no "Do not steal the wires" warning and start a suit to line his pockets.
