As yogi says, it ain't over till its over. Last week while I was on the job in my work boots and blue collar I was speaking with a woman in the hospital. I was training her on the use of some diagnostic imaging equipment. As it turns out she self identified as a liberal. As I am wont to do, I immedaitely identified myself as a conservative, and one of the dreade Christian Conservaties at that. We had an intelligent conversation about Terri Schiavo and we agreed to disagree.

This afternoon I stopped in to see how they were getting on. As I was leaving she pulled me aside and asked if I rembered our conversation. Of course, I said. She told me that I had convinced her that there were too many questions not to err on the side of life and she realized that while looking at her son.

A good day.

That was a beautiful story! Thank you so much for sharing it! It reminds me of what happened to me last year.. I sat next to a young woman at work who thought she had things figured out.. including the abortion issue.. I really didn't want to discuss this issue with her at the time since it was so sensitive.. but she pushed me for my reasons why... God gave me the patience to calmly explain my position.. she later told me she changed her mind because of my words (God's words really)... I was floored since I've never been the persuasive type...
