How would you describe Howie Carr?
An odd blend of unprincipled libertarian and big government pragmatist. I get the impression that he is highly skeptical of government solutions, but figgers that since we are going to get big government anyway, we might as well make it work to our advantage.
Strongly opposed to illegal immigration and strongly in favor of severely limiting legal immigration from the third world.
Like a lot of wordsmiths, he's scientifically and technically illiterate.
Divorced once, married twice, five daughters, no sons.
Locally he's a gadfly, a thorn in the side of the Massachusetts liberal establishment. When Barnacle was fired from the Globe, he jortled, "A boil on the rear of Boston journalism has been lanced."
He plays himself in the movie, "A Civil Action", and gets periodic residual checks, as he's quick to point out.
A mucker!
Carr can be a funny guy sometimes and I probably agree with him on most things, but also he is likely the most insensitive person that I have ever seen in the media.
Fried clam lovin' fat bastard!
