There is simply no comparison for people who are PVS and who are on dialysis or have a bag. None.

I know that Peach. I was answering this,

But their families have heard them say they don't want to live on machines. Who does?

Years ago when all dialysis and bags were new medical treatments, I'm sure there were many people saying , "I don't want to end up like that".

That's my point. New medical treatments in years to come.

Oh, I hadn't understood that point. I apologize.

Well, if we want to keep people who have no brain activity hooked up for years on machines waiting for a cure, why not. It will be unsustainable financially for Medicaid and the health care community, but I'm sure we'll find a way to pay for it.

And in the interim, I've yet to meet a person who wishes to be kept in a PVS state and hooked up to machines for upwards of 15 years and no end in sight.
