I really thought the testimony of Terri's friends, on Greta last night, was much more powerful! They said that Terri was a very faithful Catholic, and actually said that she did not believe Karen Ann Quinlan should have her breathing tube pulled.

Terri's co worker testified that Terri was not happy in her marriage and was thinking of leaving. He was controlling of Terri, and Terri had bruises on her arms that looked like hand prints! Come on!

This nurse suggested that another nurse was killing OTHER patients in between conspiring with Michael Shiavo to kill Terri.

This does not help her credibility.

Absolutely. Christians who say it is right to go ahead and remove the feeding tube. Mostly they say they don't like the idea of her starving or dehydrating, and some have actually said a lethal injection would be more humane although they wouldn't quite come out for it. But they believe Michael has been maligned and lied about and that at any rate it is his call. They stand strictly by what is in the court records, and don't confuse them with anything on blogs or anywhere else.
It has been very ugly.
It is much more Christian here, I'm sad to say.

I assume your Post #19 was sarcasm or a statement of "other" people's POV. I am sometimes misunderstood as well, especially with sarcasm (my fav). A few times someone has taken my sarcasm seriously when it was so obvious I still scratch my head. America today has so many whacked out ideas that I guess one can never be too sure.

I just wish the ass would have let her parents assume the role of guardians.... I don't see what his "deal" is with that.... there's no money involved, it's already all gone...

On that we are in agreement. Michael Schiavo's motivations are severely suspect. Why is he pushing so hard for his wife's demise? He has fathered two children by another woman so by his actions, his marriage means nothing to him.
If there is no money left for him to inherit, I ask again...why? His motives are suspect in that instance.
If there is money left for him to inherit, (which I believe there is upon her death to the tune of approximately $1.4 mil) then his motives are once again suspect.

The obvious decision in either case is to err on the side of caution and compassion and let her live until it can be all sorted out. But no one in a robe seems to have any intellectual curiousity to ask the simple question...why?

Yep! And when you throw the trolls into the mix, it can get pretty tricky deciphering people's true meaning and intentions.

Scott Peterson thought his wife and child were HIS PRIVATE business too.

Michael Jackson thinks that molesting children is HIS PRIVATE business too.

I am an EMT. I have seen elderly parents who were abused by their children; kids abused by their parents and women abused by their husbands. The abusers ALWAYS said that it was 'PRIVATE FAMILY BUSINESS'.....

The EMT's on site at Terri's "collapse", felt like there was a reasonable cause that Terri had might have been abused, so they called the cops!

Mike Schiavo is being investigated by the state, as a possible abuser. The state can not finish their investigation if Terri is dead.

If we allow this killing to proceed, women everywhere in the country lose one more bit of freedom. Their husbands now will have the right to abuse them...just make sure she isn't able to talk; then they can have the support of the state to kill them!

Do a little deeper checking and you'll find the woman (nurse) is a fruitcake. Not just her employers had thought so either....

You're new around here so maybe you haven't noticed that most people who make such claims are able to cite sources. If you can't, then you should modify your absolute statements so they are accurately portrayed as pure personal opinion.

So, what's it gonna be? Will you provide us with the benefit of your "deeper checking," or will you, through your continued refusal to back up your allegation, tacitly admit you are talking out of your posterior?

Money!

Money and orgasm? Is that all this country is about anymore? We are pushing democracy on the rest of the world and we are failing the test here at home. When the Islamist terrorist set off a nuke in Manhattan will anyone care except it ruined a giant marketplace and the sex clubs?

So was this guy, who lives in Texas, rummaging through the Florida hospice trash? If not, he is posting a fake item. Surprised e-bay hasn't suspended his account yet.

He is one sick individual.

He admits it's not real -- he says he just wants everyone to "shut the h*** up." I'm surprised it's still there, too.

Looking at the rulings of the judges, it is just like something from the Taliban.
