Judge won't order Schiavo's tube returned
Tampa, FL, Mar. 22 (UPI) -- A federal judge in Florida refused Tuesday morning to order the reinsertion of a feeding tube into brain-damaged Terry Schiavo.
The ruling in Tampa by U.S. District Judge James Whittemore came after Congress and President Bush enacted legislation early Monday to allow federal courts to review the controversial case.
* * * Attorneys for Schiavo's parents said they would immediately file an appeal at the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, CNN reported.

Terri ping! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
Prayers for Terri
Can someone remove Hillary Clinton's feeding tube? She's obese according to National Health guidelines.
Bastard Clinton appointee. Hillary must pay for this resident evil.
Our branches are separate but EQUAL. So why are we constantly rolling over and taking it from these rogue anti-life judges??
Unbelievable.
She supposedly had a heart attack when she was 26 because her electrolyte balance was off from dieting. Looks like she now has a pretty strong heart given that she had a massive MI in her twenties. It does not make sense.
I'm waiting to see Florida's new license plates with their new motto: Home of Euthanasia.
Or should it be: Florida - Destination of choice if you're trying to get rid of your spouse or disabled child.
This is nothing more than legalized MURDER. Greer passed the first sentence and now Whittemore has added himself to the list of killers. May greer, whittemore, miahael, felos and all those left wing radiacl jusicial dictators ROT IN HELL. Somewhere there must be someone that can save Terri from those who are trying to kill her.
I believe that ANY clintoid judge would have ruled the same way. To be clintoid is to be at heart unjust and uncaring despite the rhetoric of "compassion."
As I posted on other threads earlier before the Judges announcement, from speaking with a colleague in Judge Whittemores chambers Monday afternoon, I was not optimistic on a favorable ruling. I was hoping I was totally wrong, but that was my feelings, all factors considered.
The U.S. Congress and the Florida Legislature placed Judge Whittemore in a highly untenable position, that made it extremely difficult for him to make a decision in support of Terris cause, yet uphold the laws and his responsibilities as he is legally bound.
Very frustrating, a very sad day indeed.
"I don't quite get it. Isn't the only logical decision to reinsert her feeding tube until the case can be evaluated under the new law passed Sunday? Doesn't the bill say the federal courts need not consider decisions at the state level relevant?"
I think the overnight delay says it all really.
Just delay a little longer and the problem goes away.
Scum.
Is that right?? He is essentially saying "I won't even listen to your case, even though I COULD give you a chance to convince me."
That is insane.
"The U.S. Congress and the Florida Legislature placed Judge Whittemore in a highly untenable position, that made it extremely difficult for him to make a decision in support of Terris cause, yet uphold the laws and his responsibilities as he is legally bound"
Would a temporary order reinstating her feeding tube have compromised him?
It would have made him a pariah in his social circle of leftist death-eaters.
