Im talking in terms of baseless theories about the husband..based on pure emotion and speculation.
Well said.
Whoa.
That's a trigger phrase.
My "list" on that crime would get me banned for life...seriously.
Thank you. I have been amazed by the people who want to rely on old data and methods to base a "fatal" decision. I do not want any doctor of mine to make a diagnosis without using all available technology. It does no harm to perform these tests that have been denied to Terri
"based on pure emotion and speculation."
Based on hypotheses by those who have known and survived such "husbands".
No one knows "the signs" better than someone who's been there and escaped that.
Ok, Lets cut to the fact then (And I like to think I ahve been holding to just the verified facts here)
1) MC is with another woman. By law he is breaching his civil contract with Terri, thus he should have no say over her well-being.
2) He stands to make ALOT of money from her death. This alone should consider him "involved" and so he should be removed from testifying in court regarding her health.
3) She is not "brain-dead" she is "brain damaged." She is at least partially aware of her surroundings.
4) She is not on "life support" so even if she DID have a living will (she does not) it would not apply.
5) Therapy has been with-held from being given to her. It's possible she could hae recovered much of her former self by now. Just as stroke victims can and do.
If I think of more, they will come up here as well.
That's not proof . Very out of character for what I usually see on FR.I'm simply saying that emotion is really putting some people out there in this case.
See post #73
You think it's jsut that we Celts have morbid outlooks? Or are we just "genius" that have crossed that line?
Which wife? Teri or his common-law live-in?
No, it's not "proof", per se.
How about an investigation, just in case?
The precedence for abuse is -there-.
Let it be explored fully.
Even i have had an MRI! This day and age, doctors order these tests as part of normal diagnostic tools. For a judge to make a conclusive decision without current testing such as MRIs and PET scans is beyond comprehension!
It works for me.
Why is he not allowed to help her?

I was asked to examine Terri Schiavo per the request of
the Second District Court of Appeal. They requested that
current information about her present medical condition be
obtained. They also requested that an evaluation be
performed to ascertain treatment options.
SNIP... Interestingly, I have seen this pattern of mixed brain
(cerebral) and spinal cord findings in a patient once
before, a patient who was asphyxiated.
Dr. Hammesfahr was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1999 for his work in brain injury and stroke. He has successfully treated thousands of patients using vasodilator therapy which increases blood flow to the brain healing conditions previously thought to be untreatable. He has been using this technology for more than a decade with good results. Patients are seeing remarkable reduction in pain, return of function in previously unusable limbs, and return of lost sight, hearing, and other function. In 2000, this work resulted in approval for the first patent in history granted for the treatment of neurological diseases including coma, stroke, brain injury, cerebral palsy, hypoxic injuries and other neurovascular disorders with medications that restore blood flow to the brain. It was extended to treat successfully disabilities including ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Tourette's and Autism as well as behaviorally and emotionally disturbed children, seizures and severe migraines.
