Right... But I feel that business is business. If it is cheaper for a company to higher a Mexican then so be it. The fact is they will work for cheaper and for no benefits. The cheap workforce has helped keep some businesses in the states instead of exporting the jobs. Also, if bushes plan goes through then they will be paying taxes. I think a job should go to who wants it most. We live in a world economy. Getting a job at the plant and retiring on a fat pension are in the past. As Americans we need to educate ourselves and start finding new ways to make money.

You sound like a young impressionable guy so I'll be easy on you. Yes, business is business but how we can we have a viable economy where businesses are playing by different sets of rules? Hiring illegals is a violation of federal law yet it still happens.......how many federal laws could you break and still stay out prison? We cannot survive with a two tier system where some are forced to play by the rules and others in the "in crowd" go completely scott-free.....that's called a banana republic .......do we really want to degenerate that far?

Yes, many businesses do lower their costs by hiring illegals.....but do they pass on their savings to their customer base?.......don't think so. Prices for many goods and services are very high even though business owners have replaced Americans with illegals.......it isn't too hard to figure out that whatever a business saves by BREAKING THE LAW and hiring illegals is going into the owners/shareholders pocket. Invariably these people hire illegals at minimal wages and then stick the taxpayers with the rest of the living expenses (food, medical, housing, etc.)......some deal huh?

Keyword aztlan, reconquista, MECHA, el plan de aztlan and you'll see there's much more to this picture.

ATTENTION: THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING IN CHICAGO ON TUESDAY MARCH 22nd 2005

FAIR Immigration Reform Meeting in Chicago
March 22, Lincoln Restaurant

Mark Your Calendars!

Concerned about the impact illegal immigration has on Illinois taxpayers? Join the fight to crack down on illegal immigration by attending a March 22 FAIR meeting in Chicago. FAIR's Midwest Field Director Susan Tully and Senior Government Relations Associate Sandra Gunn will be there to discuss the impact illegal immigration has on the state of Illinois and what can be done about it.

The goal of this meeting is to get a group of likeminded people together to set an action plan for combating illegal immigration in Illinois. Please attend and bring at least one friend with you!

MEETING DETAILS:
WHEN: Tuesday, March 22, 7:00PM

WHERE: Lincoln Restaurant
(4008 North Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL)

Dear Immigration Reformers,

Below please read an e-mail that was sent out by the Illinois Coalition
for
Immigrant and Refugee Rights to their members about our meeting at the
Lincoln Restaurant. They are calling for a candlelight vigil against
"hate" because we are meeting to discuss illegal immigration.

Since they are planning to be there at 6:30, a half hour before our
meeting
starts, I wish to ask you all not to engage any of these people in
discussion, and not to do anything other than walk past and ignore
these
people. I have spoken to the restaurant manager, Tony, he said we are
meeting in a private room, it is a private meeting, and if they start
any
trouble he will call the police.

Often these groups are successful in getting meetings stopped because
the
restaurant owners are afraid of trouble. It is a very effective way to
stifle freedom of speech. I am sure the media will be there and I
prefer
that you don't speak to them, we already know what side they are on.
Please do not be afraid to come to the meeting, in fact, please bring a
friend or someone you know who is also interested in the issue of
illegal
immigration.

Susan Tully
Midwest Field Director
FAIR

TO ALL ICIRR MEMBERS:

We usually don't forward messages from those who vilify immigrants and
want
our country to roll up the welcome mat. But this was an opportunity we
simply could not let pass by.

WHAT: FAIR, the nation's leading anti-immigrant group, is coming to our
neighborhood next week to spread their message of hate "illegal aliens
and
the potential terrorists among them" . We want you to there with us to
denounce their hate-speech, alongside dozens of ICIRR leaders and an
interfaith assembly of clergy.

TAKE ACTION: On the eve of President Bush and Mexican President Vicente
Fox's meeting next Wednesday, join us for a Prayer Vigil to end hate
speech
against hardworking immigrants, and work towards an inclusive
immigration
policy that rewards hard work and keeps families together. Our work in
communities is based on values of compassion, fairness, hard work and
the
rule of law.

Prayer Vigil Against Hate
6:30 PM, Tuesday, March 22
Lincoln Restaurant (4008 N.
Lincoln)

WHY: FAIR knows what we know: This year we have a unique opportunity
to
help legalize millions of hard-working immigrant families. FAIR and
other
anti-immigrant groups will use every chance and use any hate-tinged,
fear-mongering message they can use to derail that train.

Just scroll down to see what they say about the Drivers License bill
that we
just helped pass out of a House Committee last week!

Please forward this message to your listservs and colleagues. See you
Tuesday!
