Is this the same Rouge plant that had that massive explosion several years ago in which a number of workers were killed?

4 injuries, 2 Dearborn firemen, 2 plant firemen. Note this is the non-Ford-owned steel plant in the Rouge complex.

I don't believe this is the first time this has happened there either. I hope all the injured are ok. Fox is not mentioning any deaths, only injuries. I pray it stays that way........

FYI, The following is an excerpt from a NY Times article, I am also pasting a link(That you will have to cut and paste, don't want any unintended traffic headed their way) about Ford Motor Companies Islamic "Diversity" program.

Ford Motor Workers Get on the Job Training in Religious Tolerance

by Danny Hakim

NOVEMBER 15, 2001 - NEW YORK TIMES EARBORN, Mich., Nov. 15 — The Christians asked about fatwas, divine revelation and the promise of paradise for terrorists, while the Muslims listened. Both groups wore sport coats, work shirts or lab coats, and a few women came with heads covered. But they all carried the same storied emblem on their ID cards, the blue oval encircling the scripted Ford.

Several hundred Ford Motor (news/quote) workers of many faiths and jobs — engineers, designers, computer jockeys, plant foremen — turned out today for "An Islamic perspective on the events of Sept. 11." The event was sponsored by Ford, the nation's second-largest automaker and a company in a unique position since Sept. 11.(excerpted>

Six injured in fire at Rouge plant 3/21/2005, 11:52 a.m. ET
By BREE FOWLER
The Associated Press

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — At least six people were hospitalized after an explosion and fire at a steel plant within the River Rouge industrial complex Monday, a steel company spokesman said.

Oakwood Hospital spokeswoman Beth Oates said all six were in good condition late Monday morning. Four were at Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center in Dearborn and two were at Oakwood Heritage Hospital in Taylor, Oates said.

Severstal spokesman William Hornberger said a transport vehicle that can carry up to 400 tons of molten steel was backing into a building when some molten steel sloshed out of the vehicle. The molten steel hit two of the vehicle's 8-foot tires and caused them to explode, Hornberger said.

Part of the building's steel siding also was blown out in the explosion, Hornberger said.

Hornberger said four of the injured people were Severstal employees.

The plant previously was owned by Ford Motor Co. and currently is owned by Severstal, a Russian steel company. The companies share the complex in Dearborn.

The Rouge plant has been the site of several accidents in the past few years. In 1999, a Ford boiler undergoing routine maintenance exploded, killing six employees and injuring 14 others. State regulators later found 15 workplace safety violations.

In 2001, four explosions and a fire at the steel plant left two workers with minor injuries when a furnace blew and 2,000-degree molten steel spewed out.

Hope no one got hurt, but think about it...Ford is reportedly one of the biggest, if not the biggest supporter of Anti-American activities, pro-Communist activities, NARAL, PLanned Parenthood, etc. I could cry over any deaths and injuries, but not over any loss to the Ford Foundation! It is despicable!
