No sympathy here for Bo Gritz. That nut defied court orders.

Uhhhhh, Is this guy nuts?
Citizen's arrest power is limited to apprehending a felon when you have personally observed the felony. Law enforcement officials are NOT obligated to serve and/or execute a Citizens Arrest Warrant (is there even such a thing?).
This course of action is useless, and foolish in the extreme.

Is Bo Gritz a Eucharistic Minister now? Last I heard, he was a skinhead sympathizer.

I had never heard of Bo, but had been mulling over the citizen's arrest idea. Then I saw a post far down in a thread about him, with his picture in his green Beret outfit, and it said the FBI had used him in similar situations. So I thought I'd make a new post with just him. "Go bo!"
But suddenly I was told I had posted a bogus article and was suspended for a day here! Ouch! Contrary Mary told me Bo had a history of white supremacism, which I didn't know. I just wanted a fast rescue for Terri. But seeing this bland guy meekly going into the police van was not what I expected.
To: gentlestrength
Yes, he's a white supremacist sympathizer. Like I said, I have no sympathy for anyone who willingly go out of their way to circumvent the laws of this land, even for an act of mercy.

Uhhhhh, Is this guy nuts?Do a Google search on Bo Gritz and be sure to fasten your seatbelt.
"Nuts" doesn't begin.

Like I said, I have no sympathy for anyone who willingly go out of their way to circumvent the laws of this landI'm glad you weren't around for the War for Independence. Bad laws are bad laws. Civil disobedience is sometimes necessary, as is jury nullification.
To: Lancey Howard; clee1
I'd be getting warmer if I said he was a fringe wacko.
