WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FLA. LEGISLATURE? Couldn't they have enacted a law which would pertain to Fla. which would have taken care of this?

I believe the FL Legislature attempted such a move, but it was defeated in the FL Senate. So, the US Congress was really the end of the line if Terri was to be saved. Thank goodness that the C came through for once--and on a bipartisan level to boot (many Dems actually were on board for this one, but we all know which party was the impetus).

IOW, if this fails, it probably is the end of the road unless an army of citizens decide to walk down there and steal her or something.
