Would you have been so offended if I had added "BARF" to the title. Those quotes were from the article, not from me, although I probably was sympathetic with some of them. I think its bad public policy for the Congress to be meddling in these cases.

You didn't issue a barf alert.

Plus you never said you disagreed with the article after posting it back on 10/27/2003.

As you say above, you are "sympathetic" to some of the quotes in the article.

The article begins like this:

"Sometime in the third week of October, Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman who's at the center of a nasty battle over the right to die, ceased to be a person. She has instead become a political symbol, which may be a fate worse than death."

This is a human being, who lights up when her mother comes into the room, who laughs at her father's jokes, and who tries to speak, not a political statement.

Yeah...wrong of Congress to be meddling when it's obvious an American citizen is being blatantly deprived of life (first), liberty (second) and the pursuit of happiness (third). Shameful. Why don't they just mind their own business, anyway?
