United Nations marks World Water Day (Tuesday, March 22, 2005)
{snip}
The United Nations says more than 1.1 billion people around the world lack safe water and 2.4 billion have no access to sanitation, leading to over 3 million deaths every year.
{snip}
This year's World Water Day marks the launching of the "Water for Life" decade, during which the United Nations and governments are seeking to halve the number of people without access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation by 2015.

Hellooooooo? Where are all those vociferous Human Rights protestors? Where are all the champions for abused women? Where are all the ones who marched in the streets about the poor Iraqis suffering the indignities of American soldiers speaking to women? Paging Mr. Annan, Mr. Kofi Annan...
I'm so sorry , I'll be praying.
NEWS ------ FOX, judge refused to reinstate feeding tube
Fox just announced that the judge refused to order the reinsertion of Terri's feeding tube.
The judge ruled against Terri....they just announced it on Fox
This is unbelievable......
Look how thrilled the guy with the beard on Fox looks. And the infobabe acts as if it's no big deal
This guy's almost orgasmic he's so thrilled
its not over, but she could die before the appeals get through the court
Glad he had a nice dinner with his family and a restful night's sleep. Guess he'll have Greer over for drinks and canapes to celebrate her cremation.
nothing makes sense
So he hears one day of evidence and just decides??
What the.... the jerk on FOX says she might be alive in two freakin' weeks and the judge could reinstate the tube and she'll be ok.
this judge needs to finish this so we can go to atlanta
I think they appeal in atlanta i heard about earlier may save the day
Do you think it would have made a difference to term the request 'to provide water & food to Terri' rather than 'reinsert the feeding tube'? In that case they might have attempted oral hydration/feeding.
With this ruling that the tube not be replaced....does that now mean we can go to Atlanta???
I was told last night by people who attended the hearing that Judge Greer was not at the hearing.
Tampa Bay porn king Joe Redner attended the hearing.
