This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

He's more than nuts. He and his politics are totally despicable and beyond the pale - thank God I don't live in his district, but my poor Stepfather does and can't stand him - - he votes against him every election and the POS keeps getting voted in (last election by over 70%), his district is a mix of inner city and very nice homes. Of course, after the last s-election in WA state, and him being in King County, where most of the fraud occurred, I believe he didn't win by anywhere near that amount (another subject for another thread - - we need to concentrate on and pray for Terri tonight).

What a proud moment it must be to find oneself joined on the death squad by the likes of McDermott and Franks and Wyden and Kennedy.
It's more than a stretch! It's utterly ridiculous! A feeding tube is simply a pathway for sustenance - something we ALL require whether we are sick or we are healthy. All living beings require nutrition of some sort otherwise they will die. A feeding tube has nothing to do with a DNR! A feeding tube is not artificial life support and is not considered heroic measures.
A DNR stands for "Do Not Resescutate". Before a DNR may be implemented a person MUST have either stopped breathing or their heart MUST have stopped beating. A DNR order prevents heroic acts be taken to bring a person BAACK from this state. A DNR does NOT mean "do not treat". Any person who has a DNR in place MUST be treated by medical proffesionals up until the time that their heart STOPS or their respiration STOPS.
