Which part of family members making decisions in situations like this, every day in America, don't you understand?

This happens every single day in AMerica in some hospital. And not all those people have living wills.

It's happened in my family twice and neither of them had living wills.

Not having a living will means someone else will decide whether or not you live. That's all. Sometimes they'll keep you alive, sometimes they'll off you.

Damn. In sincerity, that breaks my heart. And you are very lucky that the affected relatives saw eye to eye. But I missed whether or not you answered a question posed by somebody else, as to whether your loved ones were starved to death just for want of food, or if their bodies could not support life but for the assistance of machinery.
