I've only got one question: What if Schiavo is lying about what his wife wanted?
And if his wife is killed, and it comes out later that Schiavo did indeed lie, what happens then?

I don't think it's necessary to show that he lied. There's plenty here to take guardianship away from him, and a big family-by-blood who wants Terri. He already has a huge conflict of interest with his fiance, his affianced bride-to-be (can't you just heave? or laugh?). The whole fiance thing assumes that Terri HAS to get out of the picture, one way or another.
