Per Fox News...
I heard all of it and was appalled that they don't even know she can't have an MRI because she has electrodes in her head.
How can Frist not know this? HOW EMBARRASSING!!
" Michael Schiavo refuses to allow Terri to have any therapy."
Yes it CAN be done, and it was the case with my little sissy, who unfortunately passed away from brain cancer. What an awesome post all the way around, shhrubbery.
Oh good; now this girl has pointed out that Bush has signed a bill that lets the hospital remove the tubes from babies against the parents' will.
Great.
correct. however, there appears to be a provision in the proposed bill to provide for de novo review. someone posted it here, you will have to look. it mentions de novo review.
The court.
Did he really do that? Against the parent's wishes?
That was only a half truth. The mother objected, there is not father of record, in fact the mother believes the Sun is the father of her severly handicapped child
So now Congress is creating new appellate functions? LOL!
She already is.
The last sentence of that CNN transcript was Michael saying the Schindlers have admitted they didn't know what Terry wanted, but it's what they wanted.
Yes, he did; and just last week a baby was removed against the mother's wishes. (She was a loon, that one!)
Yeah, Michael Schiavo makes Scott Peterson look like Mother Theresa.
You mean because she said "parents" not "parent?"
Because the rest of it was flat out truth.
Was it case specific or will that be legal precedent now too?
they are finding that the disabled, sentenced to death, are entitled to something similar to a habeas corpus review similar to what scott peterson will get.
It is the law of the state of Texas; a hospital can decide that a child will not benefit from life support.
LOL! Leave it to Congress.
Whew. We're on some slippery slope.
Oh come on now. You have made too much sense on other subjects to be reaching like this. "And anybody who has a living will can just tear them up."
I see much frustration on each side and no one is going to change their minds and you would pooh-pooh a statement like this on any other subject.
