Per Fox News...
As to your other items, Yes....I have been there too.
Rep. John Conyers D. Mi
Damn, they'll beat us over the head with this one.
"I truly belive that at some point, everyone who is feeling like this is going to make a trip to the gun cabinet and the shooting phase of the culture war will begin..... No solution in that....just more problems."
I agree which is why I am soooo frustrated...I don't want to see this happen.
I believe that Hitler came to power because people in that country pushed a culture which had no morals, which had no direction. And those who wanted those things were pushed soo far, that they saw Hitler as a good thing.
I do not want our society pushed so far to the left, that a radical religous theocracy starts to look good to all of us frustrated patriots.
As my tagline says, how long can we continue to hold onto the rope when the left is pulling us off the cliff of humanity. They keep pulling and pulling. They're off the cliff and they're still pulling. At some point they either have to be pulled back onto the mainland or we have to let go of the rope.
At some point we will come to the end of that rope and we will have to decide. Either we go over with them or we let them go and start over without them.
so far, no
to all:
thank you for your tolerance and consideration on this difficult topic
On the other "items" I hesitated to mention but if there are some here who believe this will be a "pretty" death, it will not. Others, like yourself, know the ugly part of it. And I am sorry for whatever reason "you have been there too".
I am no stranger to death. I know it quite well. I feel for this family, but our laws give weight to the husband as next of kin, and he has transferred that authority to the State, and not the parents.
He can walk away today and everything moves ahead without him.
I wish this unfortunate woman a graceful and dignified death, as is her right as this time.
This Congressional interference is a very serious mistake on the part of the party.
I know what they think will likely happen, the district court will not take this up, and the Republican caucus will think they won a battle.
I think they actually lost a great deal of respect, and they have most assuredly lost mine for using this situation.
They have lost a great deal.
Regarding the assertion that Terri was dieting just prior to the "incident":
What you quoted said "IT APPEARED", in other words, there was no definite evidence, that Terri was drinking nothing but ice tea.
They just replayed Larry King's interview with Michael Schiavo, conducted on Oct. 27, 2003. LK asked MS, about what was going on prior to the incident, MS said, that when she saw Terri, "SHE WOULD EAT AND EAT", and that they have been trying to conceive a child in that period. He also proposed, that PERHAPS Terri suffered from bulimia, but all he ever saw was her eating, not that she ever vomited anything back -- one would think that the husband would know. Also, if they were trying to conceive a child, it doesn't make sense, that Terri would go on some crash diet.
I know what the medical record said, but it just said "it appeared" and they probably asked guess who, Terri's husband about it. So when was he lying?
"Mo, I must have done a hundred cases about will fights."
Yes but have you ever seen a family squabble rise to this level? Jerry Springer has to be orgasmic!
"And JennysCool's post #619"
It's even worse than that. The Gov. of Fla is related to the Pres. of the United States and an former President and they all have doctors!!!!!
Vicki, I appreciate you finding that link. But that Doctor was discredited in court. He's an alternative medicine doctor and made the diagnosis she was no PVS without ever seeing her and before he even examined the records.
"What "we" do know"
Actually "we" don't know Jack Schmedt. All you and most of us know is what we read. Some of it factual and some of it not.
Oh, I agree with you about a feeding tube. But there is no brain activity there. None. Did you see her CAT scan? It was on the threads last night.
"Wow, sounds like the GOP got their talking points right off FR, inaccuracies and all."
Darn, and I thought I was imagining things. Yes, it seems so at least some of the comments the pols have made.
"I'm not sure there has been a "complete" accounting of what that money was spent on"
It's not high math to figure it out. Hospital stay at $450 a day....
"Bozo alert"
Deejay, I think you've been called a troll? LOL
"I also heard Terri's sister say on Friday night on CNN that Terri was a vibrant, healthy woman. Hello?"
May I repeat.....HELLO! LOL
"Never forget, these are the same people who think nothing of shoving a pair of scissors into the base of a baby's brain. Starving someone to death is well, easy."
And what, pray tell do you base that on?
"To: Senormechanico
TROLL ALERT!
Brilliant commentary on a public forum."
Every circus has a Bozo?
Why is she allowed to suffer now - the tube should be placed back while that judge drags his feet.
