"Funny, Michael didn't think she was dead before he got that settlement check."

Would not the settlement check for her care and rehabilitation from the insurance company been based on medical diagnosis? If so, and now Michael wishes to terminate her, isn't he guilty of accepting money under false pretenses? Could he be open to civil suit by the insurance company?

You know, this is an excellent point. Why was he awarded money for her rehabilitation IF there was no possibility she could be rehabilitated? What WAS the award based on?
