He wasn't wiping her ass as you so crudely said. She was in a hospital, and nursing home. He was refusing others doing that. He did not get a divorce. While he had her money from the malpractice case, he halted any even rudimentary treatment. For crying out loud, he wouldn't let her teeth be brushed. Shortly after the money was awarded, he started the procedures to not even give her physical or speech therapy.
All this man has to do is divorce her, give her whatever money is left from the settlement and move on. Her parents will do what decent people do.
I for one do not believe there is no money.
Good post and big heart, cajungirl. God forbid any of us here on FR ever end up in Terri's position, but if we do, Lord grant us a worthy advocate, not someone like this guy. I do have to say though, that this has forced me to think about getting a living will together for myself.
