Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
I'm aware of that and was told by the MRI technician when I had an MRI done to look into an "MRI Compatible" cochlear implant when the time comes, if I was expecting to have future MRI scans done. When a person is to have an MRI scan, they're told to remove anything from their body that can be zapped by a large magnet. (watches, eye glasses, credit cards, drivers license, etc).
My only question would be, what is this implant and what is it's purpose?
Don't know and from what I've read ... MS won't release her medical records
She apparently had some implants in CA in 1991 to stimulater her brain, but I don't know whether those are still there or were they removed.

Fair, I have studied this case plenty. Don't need any more info. I know where it originated from. I know it's veracity. I made my call.
As to this method of addressing a grievance. This is not the way.
You have lost all perspective. You will not go into Florida and take her. If you do, I promise you, that I will be down there in my wheel chair and crutches with my hardware, and I will protect Florida from a over reaching fed. They would be in the wrong, but you have lost perspective.
Hundreds of thousands have died for the Constitution and the BOR. You risk it for one single woman who should by rights be long dead. And you do it blindly with not a care.
In that constitution it has the basis for our rights and how they are protected. Florida did it by the numbers, yet you can't see that. It is a fact.
Now, the Florida laws may be deficient, or perhaps they are too broad for this particular case, but they are what they are. They way to change that is the legislature, but it is too late for this case. That is a fact.
This is not a issue akin to slavery or rogue States. every state in the country will be affected by what happens in Florida and by God we don't want that! I don't want the Fed to tell me how to handle my Mothers last days. Or to tell my DR how much pain meds are allowed to stem the pains from the cancer ravaging her body.
I don't want to have my living will challenged by some Bimbo in Massachusetts who thinks that I don't know what I want. Just like I would not want to be in Florida today!
One woman, one husband and a pair of parents who cannot compromise have distorted the perspectives of a sizable number of people in the Christian Conservative community. Not nearly all, but a sizable number. Enough to get the attention of the highest office and the legislative branches. Enough to get them to do something totally stupid and uncalled for against a States justice department, with half of the story! HALF OF THE STORY!
I don't think that there should be another investigation of this, but due to the huge social bomb that is close to detonating if this thing gets totally out of hand, I think perhaps a way can be found to do this within the State of Florida and not under the auspices of the Fed.
The Florida Court of Appeals can change their mind and put a stay in place until all these issues(lies)can be ferreted out and by Gog I want to see the source of every lie and distortion in this case prosecuted to the max!
Also, a short time frame would be necessary, like three to four weeks.
I would approve of that! And I don't care who they are.
This idea would have perspective.
Wait until a judge decides that you don't deserve to live, because you are in a wheelchair.
Allowing Terri to die is the real slippery slope.
They tried that and the courts over ruled them
Future cases can be changed as laws are modifiedas needed, but not this one!
That is where the perspective is lost. that is how we do it! We did not change election laws in Bush V Gore. We cannot afford to set this precident.
If I recall in Fl, they did that in midstream with the autopsy reports on Dale Earnhardt

How about you explain how we get from the use of common passive euthanasia for a woman who cannot recover to a judge killing me in my wheel chair.
My usual preference for a living will, prior to surgery is one that states if my life if dependent on medical devices, and I will never recover a consciousness and aware state of being, that I want to die.
That is what they all look like, or something similar.
I am not going to let you take that right away from me, and every-time I press this issue in this way I get a response that is not truthful.
They say, "Oh No, we are not complaining about living wills like that".
But that is exactly what you are doing. You can't deny it, so I want you to give me a truthful response.

There are certain things that even Judge Greer does not have the power to decide despite what he thinks!
Her medical condition is not relevant and neither is her marital status or anything else for that matter.

Nobody can answer that. plus, it is not material to this.
IMO, personally, I think her soul is already liberated, but it may not be where it should be until the body dies. I just don't know.
