I don't know what axis the position of the slice is.
It could also be a partial glimpse of the very top of the base of the neck bone where it begins. T-1.(or whatever) I can't recall the names.

An MRI slices it all and takes close to an hour. Maybe a cat scan is another ball of wax. I am way out of my league here.

Hard to say which direction it's looking at, I couldn't tell you if it's looking at the top of the skull down inside, or from underneath her chin upward.
