"Is there a betting line on how fast GWB will sign this bill if it ever gets to his desk? I say about a day after he says he has no choice but to sign to protect "the people" (the elite)."

I've seen losers pop up onto FR threads before, but never one quite so stupid as you.

A Democrat introduces a gun ban, and your *first* reaction is to blame President Bush.

That's a classic. President Bush, who as Governor of Texas, signed Texas' first ever Concealed Carry firearms bill into law. President Bush, who ordered Attorney General Ashcroft to inform the U.S. Supreme Court that the official U.S. position on the 2nd Amendment was that it protected our individual rights (not Leftist-imagined "collective" rights). President Bush, who told the UN to go get stuffed over their proposed global ban of the 2nd Amendment with their International Small Arms Trafficking Treaty...and then appointed John Bolton to be UN Ambassador to insure that they heard him! President Bush, who signed *two* federal repeals of pilot gun bans into law...

...yes, you blamed *that* President Bush for a Democrat's proposed gun ban.

You're vastly too ignorant to deserve the right to vote. You need to be committed in order to protect you from yourself, as well as the free world from your delusions.

Please see your nearest psychiatrist immediately.

He signed the CFR and he wants to pardon criminal aliens. I would not put anything past him. We will see how he handles this. I suspect he will argue that it is better to go along so he can get along on one of his pet issues like criminal alien amnesty.

My comment was to incite exactly what I got from you, a knee jerk reaction, GWB good, Dems bad. If I want to hear that for three hours a day I can tune into Rush. However, if I want to consider all of the possibilities, that is, GWB's allegiance to conservatism, I need to and do read National Review and the WSJ and listen to other radio. Maybe you should as well. BTW, calling me "stupid" and "ignorant" shows you to be very ill mannered and quite ignorant of gentile discourse. I shall report this as abuse as you have abused before on this forum. You are also not worth my effort to continue any further discussion of issues with you as you are incapable to separating issues from your personality. A psychologist would say that you are emotionally insecure and immature. That would be my observation.

You make a good point. I'm not a Bush fan (for lots of reasons), but all he did was to make a promise that he would sign a renewal of DiFi's moronic AWB if it came to his desk. It didn't, of course, thanks to the House.

I haven't read any reports of his supporting crazy gun control laws apart from what may well have been an empty campaign promise (mentioned above) to mollify MSM-brainwashed soccer moms. His past record as TX gov. and his actions in office have not been in favor of more gun control. While he hasn't really pushed for repeal of the stupid laws on the books, that's not really the job of a president so much as it is of legislators. Criticize him for things he deserves to be criticized for, not just for the sake of bashing him. Join GOA, JPFO or the NRA.
