In all honesty, this subpoena effort was a futile, last-ditch, and rather embarrassing means for the congress to save some face. If they were going to pass a law to prevent this thing from happening, they should have done it weeks ago. I'm beginning to think that the Republicans in Congress...all of them -- even our so-called "heroes"...are feckless and useless.

It's extremely embarrassing. The "hearings" were a sham, and everybody, including Greer, knows it. So, he's going to dare Congress to find him in contempt, which, I predict, DeLay will not do, despite his bluster.

This is a state matter, and the state has run out of options.

Are we going to stand by while Congress goes after every individual situation like this? Is this really what the Legislative Branch is supposed to be involved in?

Look, I wish Michael would divorce this woman and leave her to her parents. But Florida law is clear on the matter, as this has been adjudicated for the last seven years.

This is not going to go the way we want it to.
