If this is indeed even true, what makes you think she was trying to say that she wanted to live?
Because she was responding to a request to speak up or forever hold her peace
Well, let's see.
Since the statement before she said 'I waaaaant', was, "Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over.", it's a pretty good assumption.
I'm sure she was just trying to say "I waaaant - my MTV." Yeah that's the ticket. /sarcasm
Show some compassion.
Good point. The presumption must be that she wants to die. Unless she can PROVE beyond a reasonable doubt that she wants to live, we should kill her.
You're right! She could have been trying to say "I want certain idiots that think I might want to be cruelly starved to death to be buried up to their necks in fire ant hills and then be giving a week of meditation and quiet time to consider why they are not consider BRAIN DEAD.".
The fact that she can say ANYTHING is proof enough that she is no longer in a vegetative state, and this can not be done to her without her informed consent.
she did not say this until she was told that the tube was going to be removed. If she wanted to die, Don't you think she would have just said thanks. If she wanted to die don't you think she would have been saying I waaannnt... everytime someone came into the room.
Regardless of what she said, she spoke!
Her intentions may be unclear, but it is obvious she is coherent and that means her brain is active!
She should not be put to death, and that is why.
Why not wait to find out before trying to have her killed by starving her to death
I wasn't there, Floratina, but I believe it. Jeb Bush believed it, when he had some authority in the case. He saved her life.
No, I suspect the brain dead individual was saying... (do you get the point?), The funny thing is that even if she was saying she wanted to die, she does not have the right. The fact that she said anything makes this whole thing nothing more than the government using the issue to increase its rights to kill civilians on technicality's.
If you were to do something stupid, like forget to set your parking brake and your actions caused someone else to die it would be called manslaughter and you could go to prison. If you were to pull the plug on some patient in the hospital to watch them die it would be called murder, and if you were to decide to pull the plug on a person for personal reasons, and go to the hospital to take them out it would be first degree murder.
In what way is this case different? Clearly first degree murder is being legalized right before the public, and congress is being limited by the judicial branch on its ability to set the law of the land.
Which, by the way, is the point of the whole issue. The Constitution has been nullified, the coup over the republic of America is complete. The Bastard branch of government is now in control. The one branch of government that never had the right to make laws, just made a law giving it right over your right to live, and set its right to kill far higher than any representative you may ever have to defend yourself.
Have a happy retirement, hope you do not become disabled, for man in America no longer has the right to life given by God, but your very right to live is at the whim of lawyers now.
That is why this simple murder case is such a dog and pony show.
