A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.
Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:
"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."
According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.
"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.
"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.
At that point police ejected Weller, he said.
With Jeb and George Bush in charge, her blood will pretty much be on the hands of the Bush family. The President didn't speak up from the bully pulpit until just yesterday, and lawyers have informed Jeb that he has the executive power to stop it all if he has the guts.
Yes, it's just incredible how 'normal' people just seem to short circuit and side with pathetic, lying, death-loving scum. And then those of us who are not under this trance/spell have to try to get them back from their Zombie-State. YOU FREEPER'S KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
I heard a family member last night (Brother?) stating that speech therapists thought that it was very possible she could speak if they could work with her but they have been refused.
You would think that if they have nothing to hide, the husband, hospice and judge would allow at least one camera in to "witness" the execution---
Boy, one can kinda see why some people get sooo angry with judges---especially judges that like to play GOD--and won't even acknowledge that they might be wrong--
What would hurt either her husband or this judge to wait until a congressional hearing? What are they afraid of?
Regardless of what she said, she spoke!
Her intentions may be unclear, but it is obvious she is coherent and that means her brain is active!
She should not be put to death, and that is why.
Stop showing your naive, gross ignorance of the media. MSM wants/needs the death agenda. Were you born yesterday? Good God, do I have to waste time pointing out the few hundred items/stories that were on FreeRepublic that the MSM buried?
Why don't we just sell Floriduh to Cuba? Well we have to kidnap Terri first.
Her parents know best in this situation. They love her! Her parents would not prolong her life if she were incapable of responding to them. At minimum, the judge has never met Terri!
LOL You must love PBS and CBS.
So are you saying the family lawyer is lying and it's a scam? Terri tries to communicate all the time and simply did it once again, but what she attempts to say never gets reported in the MSM. So don't let that fool you.
Since the statement before she said 'I waaaaant', was, "Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over.", it's a pretty good assumption.
Good point. It's not like they're giving her a multiple choice question.
Actually, that's a good point too.
She CAN indicate Uhh-huh, and Uhh-ehh, so why doesn't some (?) one ask her " Do you want to live? "
Why would anyone consider letting her die, without asking her that question. She must be terrified.
She has brain damage .. But she is NOT brain dead
Kind of like a person who has had a stroke
Terri must be terrified is right! She's been through this same hell before too!
You err.
BTTT
Why not wait to find out before trying to have her killed by starving her to death
err
Critical point. If someone, anyone, has tape of Terri expressing any desire it puts the whole Persistent Vegitative State crap to rest. A judge would have to act to save her.
Someone, please, get this woman on tape reacting to others!
Strong possibility.
This SHOULD pretty much close the case one would think.
I also think that a lot of people who support the removal of the feeding tube (the public) may just not know enough about the details. I suppoted her husbands wishes just earlier today. I got on FR this evening, asked a few questions, read some articles, and basically learned more about the issue than the tripe the news media spout, or the highly opinionated preaching by our favorite radio talk show hosts and now I believe that it is a mistake and a bad decision to remove the tube.
Thanks FReepers for helping me learn more about the issue.
