A spokesperson for Michael Schiavo says Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed Friday with Michael in attendance.
He says a prayer service was held first, and that Michael was emotional and crying, saying he wanted to put the situation behind him.
Terri Schiavo's parents, the Schindlers, visited with Terri Friday morning, prior to the tube's removal.
Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court Judge George Greer denied two U.S. House of Representative emergency motions Friday, which allowed the tube's removal.
The first motion was to intervene in the case for the House Committee on Government Reform and the second motion was to push the date back nine days so it could conduct what it calls a field investigation concerning the healthcare of Schiavo.
A neurologist appeared at Terri Schiavo's Pinellas Park hospice center Friday with a TV screen to show video of patients he treated that were in worse condition than Schiavo and got better.
I suspect 7 little RINOs that voted for Terri to die are going to have a bad week.

I wouldn't want to be answering their phones.
They were pointing out and I think you understand, that there are situations on a continuum that involve feeding tubes. Terri is not at the end of that continuum. Whose going to set the criteria to take another life? Without written instructions by the patient? Without trustworthy verbal instructions communicated with redundancy to all who knew her?
Terri has commited NO crime resulting in a death sentence. She is being given nourishment. She has people who are willing to care for her. Let them.
I understand you don't want to be put on a feeding tube. Make sure you create a document that indicates your wishes, and then share that exact same information with those who care for you and love you. You will save much agony and dispair in the end.
The removal of the tube signals that an end may be near in a decade-long family feud between Schiavo's husband and her devoutly Roman Catholic parents, Bob and Mary Schindler.
Saddest part of all knowing that some doctors have been brought so low by their lack of character.
Yes, I thought Rush did a horrible job educating people on the truth about Terri's situation. He blew it totally. No wonder he had people calling in saying she should die and he kinda just said, well, no she shouldn't. He didn't have the facts at his command and it was just sad.
I finally had to turn him off. Sorry, Rush.
It is very reasonable to be suspicious about his motives.
The "situation"?
I cannot believe they withhold water. These are people who are virtually dead, not like Terri who has an understanding of what's happening.
The way they are killing Terri---it would be like being buried alive with no one hearing me banging & scratching on the inside of the casket that I wanted to live. She wouldn't even have the benefit of a bell to ring.
Is this murderer employed anywhere? I want to make certain I never ever do any business with his employer.
Why? Simple:
They're the ones saying that we NEED right to die laws, or whatever they call them, so that if one enters a vegetative state, there will be a legal document outlining the conditions under which the person wants a Do Not Resucitate order, or having a feeding tube removed, or whatever.
No such document exists in this situation.
Thus, the people who are hollering over this issue on the left should be saying "This is a situation where one of those documents would come into play".
Instead, they are basically saying, "Well, you don't need one of those documents we say is essential if someone who knows you says you would want to die."
OK, fine--so in the future, if someone HAS one of these DNR docs, someone who knows the victim can say "I know she REALLY would want to be kept alive, no matter what that document says" because obviously you don't NEED such a document in these cases.
If she HAD such a document, that crowd would be saying it should be honored; she didn't, and they're saying she should be killed anyway.
Isn't it obvious to all that their true agenda is not to allow people to have control over their own lives, but to make murder in the name of quality of life the rule of the land? I'm sure one could easily find thousands of people in her state or worse off; I guess we can start killing them, too. Not to mention, of course, that this shows how disposable the unborn are--I mean, not ONE fetus has the "quality of life" of a fully-formed person, right?
This is about normalizing murder of "imperfect" people. Period.
That is putting murderers, as a whole, in an even worse light than they were in before this SOB came to light as a murderer.
I hope, for his girlfriends sake, that she hasn't left a "golden egg" to this SOB in the case of her demise.
Simply put, the words "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" come to mind.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
I had to laugh when they referred to Nichols as the "alleged" murderer. This piece of slime gets the benefit of being called alleged murdererer even though there were plenty of eyewitnesses who saw him gun people down in cold blood. Now, Terri's husband says that she told him she wouldn't want to live in a vegetative state but that is taken as truth and cold hard fact, no alleged attached to that! If Michael, Michael's brother, and Michael's sister say so it is the truth! Case closed! Shheeesh!
First my condolences on your sister. I agree with everything you wrote - so I am not sure why you posted it to me as I have been saying pretty much the same things.
I think your post illustrates one thing - that the medical community makes recommendations and diagnoses in a box. They can not possibly know what any one patient can tolerate until it happens. Your sister was a great example - when faced with life or death she chose life. Good for her. Too bad Terri may not get that choice.

I was just agreeing with what you posted, so I added to it with my story. I'm not quite sure what the rules are around here about posting - do I post if I disagree with someone and not if I agree? Or maybe I sounded like I was arguing with you, but I didn't mean to sound that way. Sorry.
Last time I looked the GOP had control of Congress and the GOP had a man in the White House. If you are in charge you are responsible. Sorry but it is an attitude I picked up in the Military and in a Church pew. I am not alone and the GOP and any other concerned party needs to get used to dealing with that viewpoint.
Think about it. My options are to have my diaper changed for years and years or to be present with the Lord.
What in the world are you blathering about?
