HINO was interviewed awhile back by Larry King who asked that question. He gave at least two different reasons:
1. Terri's hearsay wishes per his/his relatives' recollections from casual conversations some 10 years earlier.
2. Her parents were making his life hell.
No under oath statements from HINO because Greer keeps allowing him to avoid any depositions where he might be asked that, and of course other important questions. HINO seldom consents to interviews and when he does, it's only when Felos is there. It's known that he doesn't keep his story straight and utters conflicting statements.
