Those funds were exhausted years ago.

NOt on what they were supposed to be spent on, either.

it's happening because we're letting it happen. the other side knows all we will do is stand there and hold up signs.

if a thousand people surrounded the building, and each got hauled away and arrested for trespassing, the Pinellas Co jail system would be overwhelmed. If a thousand people demanded to enter the building to see the tube reinserted, and they were all carted off to jail for trespassing, the system would be overwhelmed. It would get attention. Who knows what sort of effort might be put into motion?

But does anyone really care enough to inconvenience himself?

God bless you,

Life has intrinsic value.

The least capable among us can do tremendous good.

The most innocent can invoke care, compassion and love.

Caring for them elevates us to out highest capacaty.

Anybody can consider themselves good if thy are never called to prove it.

Those severely handicapped brings out the good in those around them.

[The big question is that no one is asking is why Michael wants her dead..]

I've been wondering about that too. Does he get some insurance money from this murder (that's what is is - MURDER!)?

I think Michael wants to prevent her recovery, for fear of what Terri might have to say.

Just remember...God is BIGGER than Judge Greer and can squash him like a bug. Don't despair just yet!

I am married, and honestly can't imagine EVER doing this to my wonderful husband.

*shrug* You weren't married to my ex. (Actually, for some reason killing her never crossed my mind. Suicide? Yes - often, but murder? No.)

Judge Greer said today, "I have heard no cogent reason why the committee should be able to intervene," he told attorneys in a conference call, adding that last-minute action by Congress does not invalidate years of court rulings. "I don't think legislative agencies or bodies have business in the court's proceedings."

Again - further proof of the violation of Terry's civil rights. The federal government and judiciary has taken jurisdiction of Civil Rights violations - this should be an open door for the Feds to step in.

Would you let your mom be this way for 15 years?

If she hadn't written up a living will, and was smiling at me when I came in the room, yes I would. And if she had written up a living will and was smiling at me when I came in the room, I would do my darndest to provide appropriate care (food, water etc.) for her for as long as she was able to take it. TERRY CAN SWALLOW, TERRY CAN EAT, TERRY CAN REACT TO PEOPLE SHE LOVES.

Time to go vomit. The amount of ignorance on this site lately astounds me.

I agree completely. How many people of that age have those conversations? Not many, I'd wager.

I can't read theses stories and not have stream of tears run down the sides of my nose.

I have a beautiful niece who is 13.

I'm sure you miss your niece very, very much. May she continue to rest in peace.

Thanks for sharing this story.

You know not of what you speak.

Properly we have a conflict between the two and the issue is for a hearing to had on where the manifest harm in maintaining the status quo until the subpoenas are fulfilled.

The courts have upheld congressional subpoenas. (see nixon)

Greer present action is based on his intent that Terri die before congress can act.

We had a general discussion, not about this special case. You could also ignore my post, which would have been more appropriate.

I also question whether Congress will do a single thing if their subpoenas are ignored in this case. The whole Congress seems incompetent and unconcerned.

If that's the case, I will never vote for a Republican for Congress again. My intial thought was that the issuing of these subpoenas was an unconstitutional abuse of federal power. That being said, they still have the force of law until challenged. These subpoenas have never been challenged in a court. They cannot be disregarded. If they are, good luck getting Mark McGwire to show up before Congress again.

The rule of law in this country is a mess.

If I was there I'd be there. But I'm in MN.

I am but King Vanity (who is way more severly disabled than Terri) is UP and DOWN thrashing around in JOY then ANGER...... He says this is insane. I asked him if he feared for other disabled and he said not a bit as that "WE" (disabled) don't have anyone plotting to murder us. I don't pry into his personal Prayer life but I can assure you knowing my son he has had many Prayer sessions and I feel safe in saying has brought those who "dont get it", and the murdering Judge and missing Husband in to these sessions.

,TO ALL THE DON'T GET IT'S ABOUT US WHO WANT TO LIVE AS LONG AS THE NEXT GUY KING VANITY SAYS
"I AM GOING TO LIVE TO BE 100 YEARS OLD, SO BITE ME"
