Once again, a celebrity is held to a different standard (a much lower one) of accountability than us mere working class paeons.
I'm not saying Bakely was an icon of virtue, but NO ONE deserves to be murdered. And she was murdered. If those who are ordained to sit in judgment are unable to apply justice, then there is One who will.
Jury foreman on...
Says they dissected every bit of testimony...
They could not find anything more than "flimsy" circumstantial evidence and witnesses against him were not credible.
There was no way they could place the gun in his hand, the tests were negative, and in fact his shooting her didn't make sense... the time line was too disjointed.
The next juror is also talking about the time line being off...
Now third juror - "there was just no evidence to say whether he did or didn't"
It has very little to do with being a celebrity, and everything to do with being able to afford good legal representation to balance out the tremendous advantage in terms of money, resources, and manpower that are available to the state.
Blakely *might* have told them all that, but remember that she was resentful of him, and she also had to know she had made other dangerous enemies.
She would probably prefer people think she was killed by him, if she got killed, so she would come off as a martyr.
It's also - the 3 counts tended to contradict each other - giving the impression of just trying way too hard to put him behind the murder.
As for celebrity... it means nothing to me or the ones I know - at all.
I just don't see real evidence in this case.
(gotta run for a bit)
It wasn't Yosemite, I think it was the Big Bear Park area because it was within a couple hour drive from LA, regardless, you are correct. There are many tapes of Bonnie telling her friends and family that Blake was trying to kill her, and somehow when Blake leaves her on the street for 10 minutes she is blown away.
