Those are pretty good seats. Up where you can see, which is a drawback for my "front row", but that's where you get the thunder. :)

I'm keeping all the Busch qualifying coupons, but if you want a couple of the Cup/Iroc discount ones, you can have them. You have to redeem at the gate though, which means you will have to wait until you get there to get tickets. Or that's what it sounds like to me anyway. You could always call and find out.

Had a friend that had to wear one. He dove off a bluff into the river and missed the deep water. Seemed like he wore it for six months or so.

I had 8 lower vertebra fused in 1975 and wore a body cast from my pelvis to my chin for 9 months. My wife would drive me to work and home every day. I think I still have ware marks on my hips...

Nine months is pretty rough, hope it all went OK.

Have two friends that have had that done, both ended up with three operations because they didn't listen to the doctor. I've got one crunched on in my neck, but as long as it doesn't affect me too much, I'm leaving it alone.

Thank you....I have tickets coming for Friday qualifying and the IROC race. We can only go for one day because of vacation time etc and I can't leave Jack (my dog) for any longer than that.

Note and news from the Harvick camp.

DeLana and I wanted to wish all of you a very happy Easter.
We are spending the day with family and then heading up to NY.

I'll be on the Tony Danza Show, the Daily Show with Linda Vester and ESPN News and Cold Pizza tomorrow. Then on Tuesday me and some of the 21 guys will be on the Today show.

Should be a pretty fun couple of days! We'll get to do some cool media stuff, see some friends and hang out in NY.

See you guys in Bristol!!!

We're going to be in section 109 which is right across from pitbox 10.

I have always been very picky about who cares for my dogs, I never leave them at a kennel. I tried that once years ago, which lasted about 1/2 hour before I went back to get him.

The kennel people probably thought I was nuts!! lol

They added several big screens, for replays and such, this year. Had them several years ago and removed them because they restricted views across the track. Have to wait and see where they put them this time.

Kind of seems to me that anywhere they place them would obstruct someone's view.

Since we're going for qualifying and IROC I'm anticipating getting some really great pics. Taking my regular Canon camera instead of the digital.

THE CATCH CAN:
Congress Investigates Carl Edwards
for "Performance Enhancer"
by Rick Eckart
StockCarCity Associate Editor
The U.S. Congress is determined to nail at least one athlete for cheating in sports. And they’re very interested in talking to NASCAR’s Carl Edwards. They’ve learned that he won his first Cup race using a “performance enhancer.” Said an anonymous insider, “We hear he admitted he won with help from Scott’s Miracle Grow. Shame.”

Travelodge is back on the #16 Ford at Darlington. Said a Travelodge spokesman, “We love Greg Biffle. I mean, who has a finer piece of ‘bedhead’ than him?”

Robert Yates Racing opened its first ever online store this week on the internet. Said a giddy Doug Yates, “The most popular item is our ‘Robert Yates Wig’. Very stylish. Just ask Jimmy Spencer and Sterling Marlin why their spending so much time online.”

John Michael Montgomery apologized for his rendition of the national anthem before last week’s race in Atlanta. Said Montgomery, “Next time I’ll try to inhale fewer exhaust fumes before going on.”

Erin Crocker won the first “Pork Pole” for a female in the ARCA race at Nashville this week. Said an excited Crocker, “I sure hope there’s not a trophy for that.”

Who was Reed Sorenson’s sponsor in the Busch Series race Saturday? Coals? Coats? Goals? Goats? YES! Goats, that’s it!

Brian France is back in the rumor mill again. This time, reporters believe he’s trying to land an NFL team in Los Angeles. Said France, “We’re just trying to help the Rockingham team find a better home.”

Carl Edwards credited his mother and Ken Schrader (her cousin) for his talent. Listen, I don’t want to go “Dueling Banjos” on you, but aren’t we past this? Even in the south?

NASCAR is under fire for showing favoritism. The NASCAR Technical Institute awarded a $1000 grant to Junior Achievement of Iredell County. Said a confused fan, “Here they go again, giving money to Junior for no reason.”

…and the last drop in The Catch Can asks…

How many times in his childhood do you think Carl Edwards was called “Opie”? Because I bet it was about a million

Well that popped my bubble. I thought I was the only one who noticed.

J.M. Montgomery. Unnngh. I think it's time to have them lip-sync to a recording.

Speaking of Dogs, Dolly the Sharp Eyed Hunting Dog got sick yesterday and we had to take her to the vet when she started vomiting blood. Waiting for lab tests plus we leave tomorrow morning to visit my sister in Santa Cruz. She is in the late stages of Lung Cancer. She is 81.

We will be back in Eureka on Tuesday night God Willing and the Crick Don't Rise...
