To clarify, the Budget resolution included a reconciliation measure regarding drilling in ANWR and the Cantwell Amendment would have removed that reconciliation. Her amendment to strike ANWR from the Budget was defeated.

It removes ANWR drilling from the FY2006 budget. IT WAS JUST SMACKED DOWN, DRILLING FOR ANWR IS OPEN!

The amendment would have separated the ANWR question from the budget bill. The majority wants to vote on this as a package. Cantwell sought to split off the ANWR issue as a separate item for voting.
