My friend, I lived in Nebraska, and I know conservatives. When I was there, I voted (twice) for Hagel, and now rue the days I did that. ACU rating of 85 or no, Hagel is not a conservative. He's a McCain wannabe who would sell his party out for a cheeseburger if he thought it would get him either MSM facetime or the approval of "libs who count."

Oil is a limited resource

If a resource is understood to be something that can be produced for less than extraction cost. Cost should be given in units of energy to be meaningful. Even coal is getting more expensive. In terms of how much energy it takes to produce a given amount of coal energy it has doubled since a couple decades ago.

The dirty little secret about no new refineries is, the owners of existing refineries have made damned sure no new ones get built.

give me a break. I live in the oil patch. GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS and enviro nuts are the reason there aren't more refineries. Believe me, the profit motive is very strong to build more refineries.

So if I understand your logic correctly, those just out of high school or college, providing for their family are considered, in your class-warfare-glasses-covered eyes, your fellow Americans. If said person gets married, buys a house, grows his family and his income, this family is no longer considered to be your fellow Americans?

You're still not thinking BIG enough. I know lots of folks in the seven and eight digit range. Some of it inherited, some created. More power to them. But the Kennedys, Rockefellers, Morgans, who control the CFR are most certainly not my fellow Americans. Nor do they wish to be. In fact their elitist snobbery puts them squarely at odds with free America. They are the progenitors of the nanny state currently enslaving black America. The "Yeas" include the usual Jackass Party members and the RINO's such as McCain, Collins and Snowe of Maine, Chaffee of RI. We should be drilling in Alaska, and we should be building nuclear power plants all over the country.
