There are an awful lot of FReepers who claim to be channeling God and know His will as well as Terri's. It's strange IMHO. My God is a loving God, and I don't fear death as I know someday I'll go to a better place. If that is Terri's wish, I say let her go.
I pray that God's will and Terri's will be done.
Channeling? Wrong religion. I use the Bible. I want the Scripture where Jesus says that says it's ok to starve those who are helpless or incapacitated.
Actually, those who pretend to be channelling God are the ones who insist God wants Terri murdered. The rest of us get our information about God's wishes from His Word. If you have one of those Bibles that says "Thou shalt commit murder," please return it to the publisher for a refund.
I don't think it's the fear of death that upsetting people about this. It's the two week long painful journey.
It seems as if Terri's will is to live. Fifteen years of deprivation, which would cause most people to go insane, and she's still alive. I'd call that a will to live. I suppose if it's your wish, you can go. Still here? Darn.
Just how do you KNOW Terri's wish? Or do you agree with giving a man who has a common law wife and children thereby becoming a bigamist the power of life and death over an invalid no longer wanted.
If this passes - all someone has to do is "claim" that the spouse once said they would not want to live in this condition. Therefore, murder is condoned by the courts.
I would believe this might be her wish if there were other witnesses other than the brother of the man wanting her dead, if it had been mentioned during the first nine years rather than remembered after he tired of her, or if he was not so willing to ignore the wishes of the parents.
This man cares only about what he wants and he wants her dead. He does not care about the horror he has put her parents through, he does not care about her teeth - denying her dental care, he does not care about her happiness or he would allow her parents full access.
Look at the actions and the man. No one could believe that Michael is a legimate husband. What about the common law wife and kids - I would think he is now more like an ex-husband.
Who wants ex-husbands determining the life and death of an ex-spouse?
"If that is Terri's wish, I say let her go."
Why do you say it's Terri's wish? See the following:

Regarding that alleged conversation [when Terri supposedly said she would want to die in such a situation] --Cindy Shook said that Michael Schiavo said:
"How the hell should I know, we never spoke about this, we were young."

Then maybe you should be starved and dehydrated to death.
