Oh, what fun!
Here's a hint: They won't appreciate pictures of them in matching pink frilly dresses when they are teen-agers, so make sure you get plenty when they are too young to compalins ; )
How about:
Liberty and Belle
Betty and Veronica
Mary-Kate and Ashley?

Shakespearean names are a GREAT idea. A little unusual, but not too trendy.
I've always liked Miranda and Rosalind, Portia's another nice one. Just be sure that you name the girls after one of Shakespeare's NICE girls who didn't come to a bad end (Ophelia is right out - and Cordelia is such a wimp!)

Venus is Roman. Her Greek name is Aphrodite (I'm not sure you could pull that one off even WITH a Greek last name.)
Other good ones: Persephone, Artemis or Artemisia, Cynthia . . .

Rock and Roll?
Liberty and Freebird?
Country and Western?
[Lo]Raine and Hail[ley]?
If your family tends towards sallow complected or blond:
Amber and Electra (Greek for amber, root word for electron, as amber rubbed with fur gets a negative charge, your trivia for the day)...

A wimp?!
But Cordelia was such a faithful, and HONEST daughter.
I liked the character, and the name.
Though Rosalind is kind of sweet, too.

Cordelia was a good girl (and Anne of Green Gables really liked the name and wanted to be called Cordelia), but she lacked gumption.
Goneril and Regan, on the other hand, had plenty of gumption. Too much.
(BTW, have you seen Kurosawa's Ran? Great version of Lear)

No, I haven't. Although, it sounds interesting, based upon all I've heard.
My favorite production of King Lear was the version produced by "Masterpiece Theater", which aired several years ago.

Pratt & Whitney?
Briggs & Stratton?
Hopkins & Allen?
Smith & Wesson?
Merwin & Hulbert?
Flatt & Scruggs?
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern?
These may not make for good names, but they'll likely be pretty good nicknames.

I'm sorry, but those are all VERY BAD names for GIRLS!

Mr. Melbell wants to name our first son Zaphod. He has also had his naming privileges revoked.

sometimes that doesn't work. My fathers mother name was Laura. When my mother gave me that name her mother was upset because I wasn't named after her and her mil was upset because I really wasn't named after her but after the movie ''Laura''.

My twin sister and I were born long before ultrasound and knowing the baby's sex ahead of time. My parents said they wanted to name us (boys) Pete and Repeat or (girls) Kate and Duplicate. OUCH! Hmmm from your nic, I'd say they went with Kate and REPlekate...

I'm just about the oldest "Jennifer" I know, being born a few years before "Love Story" came out.
But get this: My father REALLY wanted to name me Guenevere. Fortunately for me, Mom put her foot down and demanded Jennifer instead (same meaning, BTW, and both Welsh).
People still call me Jenny, though.
