Cordelia was a good girl (and Anne of Green Gables really liked the name and wanted to be called Cordelia), but she lacked gumption.

Goneril and Regan, on the other hand, had plenty of gumption. Too much.

(BTW, have you seen Kurosawa's Ran? Great version of Lear)

No, I haven't. Although, it sounds interesting, based upon all I've heard.

My favorite production of King Lear was the version produced by "Masterpiece Theater", which aired several years ago.
