Good grief. If you must excerpt, at least provide a link.

"Thomas issued a statement Tuesday in which she said that she is passionate about the topic of diversity and wanted to raise the level of awareness. "

"Many students said the racial problems began only after the secretary's speech."

Mission accomplished

Notice that the story doesn't mention any of the actual remarks that this vicious woman made, including:

"The closest your fathers would ever know about injustice is if the dealer told them that the Mercedes they wanted was sold to someone else."

"They don't know what it is like to open up your locker and see a KKK letter there. It's not the most comfortable feeling at all," said African-American student"

No, but "they" didn't put it in your locker, and individual did. Blaming "them" would be the same as those white students blaming YOU for the woman's comments they found so offensive.

Enough with this group guilt crap.

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

We have the same problem in Chicago. A nun accused anyone who lived in a white neighborhood of being a racist and she is the Director of Racial Justice.

This is the new McCarthism - no longer are you a Communist - YOU ARE A RACIST - because I SAY SO!

NBC10 is very careful not to reproduce the Secretary's remarks in any of their on-line stories.

Nice to see the backlash of race-baiting even reported at all tho, times seem to be a-changin. Politicians who have ridden race-baiting politics into public office may start to see their tactics rejected, and it can't happen soon enough.

It is oh so typical ... when I was in high school in the mid sixties, it was "the man keeps me down", if you rose above it all you were an "uncle Tom".
Same thing in college, mid seventies, black students received all the grant / scholarships I was eligible for plus those specifically for blacks, yet the cry I heard was "I am so oppressed".
OMG I actually though all this had changed .. what a dope I have been ... I am so sick of it ... I am sick of successful blacks bitching and moaning about how bad they have it.

Regina Thomas should learn some local history.

Cross the Delaware and you get the famous Anti-Catholic Kensington riots of 1844.

My grandfather has crosses burnt in his lawn during the 1920's for builing a Catholic Church in Sommers Point.

There is a long history of Anti-Catholic predudice in the area.

Good for these students. They don't have to be called a racist by some troll.

An interviewed student knows someone who knows someone black who found a crumpled KKK letter in her locker! Well, of course. What did you expect?

Some students will take any opportunity to ditch, even a classmate's funeral. In this case I think they're justified: would we have heard the story otherwise? Students and parents should dish all their school's PC dirt, early and often.

So where can I find a transcript of Regina Thomas's speech already?

My son goes there, he was part of the freshman class and sophmore class gathering that was in the auditorium to hear the speech.

They (the students) are really upset that they have not received an apology (DIRECTLY) for the incident.

It's made Drudge's headlines today as well.

The articles never tell us exactly what this woman said. It must have really been bad.

Wouldn't it be great if someone recorded the speech and provide a transcript?

Blacks are allowed to be racist. They claim that it is only whites who have the power in this country so therefore blacks cannot be racist. Bill O'Reilly may cover this story but the liberal media will be scattering like the cockroaches that they are since it is about black racism. If it was about white racism, it would be the lead story everynight for a month.
