So if it's OK to remove someone's only form of life support (i.e. a respirator) against their wishes, then someone please tell me why Christopher Reeve was allowed to live as long as he did?

Christopher Reeve didn't have a terminal condition, he was simply paralyzed. This baby had NO chance for survival, and as someone else has mentioned, even with the respirator, he would have died as his body grew. Not the same situation as Reeve.
