Been married 42 years, Long enough to know the basic principals of marriage are love and trust.
How can anyone trust a person who has secretly salted away funds for a divorce. My advice is if you dont trust the woman you are marrying , dont marry her.

Never , ever let a good piece of tail enter your thoughts of marriage. too many men think with the little head. Marriage is a lot more than sex.

Advice that would destroy the divorce industry if followed. As we speak, a league of domestic attorneys and state child welfare workers are being dispatched to track you down and bring you into compliance.

The divorce rate is approaching 50%, with most divorces initiated by women. The overwhelming majority of these men trusted the girl when they married her. Several of them were friends of mine who got raped in the divorce.

No matter how much you trust a person NOW, and no matter how trustworthy a person is this week, people change. There is no guarantee that the woman you love and trust this week will not turn into a 14-ct b***h in 10 years

And yes, I'm married. Have been for 20 years. I guess I'm just a bit luckier than my friends (so far)

Basically good advice. I know a lot of young men who have taken your advice, and don't ever intend on marrying.

Good advice about marriage..

I'd never set up a divorce fund, but I do have 'Papa's Emergency fund".

I never say how much is there, just that it is, and warn everyone in the family if it is getting low.

It is available for emergencies and unforseen expenses, but is one way I can be sure to have some or all of what is needed in advance when something goes wrong. (With 12 grandchildren, something will.)

It never hurts to rathole a little cash, either. (And yes, my wife knows about it, and has "Grandma's" fund, too!)

Some would say it's everything but sex.

Perhaps it is about much more than sex, but it is still about sex, and marriage means you have sole-sourced that fairly important aspect of your life.

Most women forget about this, or if they have issues about it fail to communicate their issues in a way that men can actually take any kind of meaningful corrective action.
