Calling appraisal caps "tax reform" is quite a stretch. Appraisal caps are simply tinkering with the same old existing system of property tax.

Well it's a start. And at the county level there is only so much that can be done to change the property tax process. What we can do is keep pressure on the County Commissioners to reduce county expenditures. Of course we need to get more Republicans on the Commissioner's Court. Our one Republican Commissioner, Ken Clark is often the sole voice of reason on reducing county government spending.
