The only way around that is to set your phone to respond ONLY TO THE SPRINT DIGITAL NETWORK.
How do you do that?

You'll have to use the menu function and on my phone it is located under 'systems'..... I prefer to set mine where I have to make an extra step [such as press 1] to receive or make calls from a roaming area as opposed to not being connected at all. That way I have the option to make the call or take the call if I so choose.....
You phone may have a different set up feature.

(You know you are getting older when everything either dries up or leaks.)

You can also set the ring different for a roaming incoming call, at least on my phone.
