Multiple protests target Jordan

First anti-Jordanian Protest:

Iraqis protest against Jordan over bomber
Thousands of Iraqi Shias protested on Monday after hearing reports that relatives of a Jordanian suicide bomber suspected of killing 125 people in the town of Hilla celebrated him as a martyr.

After breaking into the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad and tearing down the flag, protesters called on all foreign Arabs to leave the country and denounced King Abdullah.

Anti-Jordanian sentiment has been spreading since Iraqis read newspaper reports that Jordan’s Raid al-Banna blew himself up beside people lining up for jobs in the Shia town of Hilla last month in the single bloodiest attack in postwar Iraq.

Al-Qaeda’s wing in Iraq, led by Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, claimed responsibility for the blast.

The Iraqi government has condemned the family’s celebrations.

Second anti-Jordanian Protest:

Jordanians of Chechen origin have staged a sit in near the UN offices in Amman, demanding it pressure Russian authorities to hand over the remains of assassinated Chechen separatist leader Aslan Maskhadov.

The protesters held photos of the slain Chechen leader who was killed by Russian forces earlier this month, and chanted slogans calling for peace in Chechnya, Aljazeera learned.

A Chechen community was formed in Jordan after they fled Chechnya in the late 19th century amid ongoing Russian oppression. They have a representative in the Jordanian parliament.

The Jordan protest comes after Russia's top human rights activists called on Moscow to return Maskhadov's body to his relatives for burial.[/snip]

It appears that everyone is getting into the Middle East protest act. That includes those yearning for freedom and the agents of evil.

It's good to see Iraqis blaming the bombers instead of the US for their problems.

Ain't that the truth. I'm hoping that the Iraqi's next protest target the Syrian and Iranian embassies.

Beats the heck of me. It makes as much senses as saying you're a southerner of midwestern origin. 8^)

Is it just coincidence that Prince Abudullah is meeting with the National Security Advisor and President Bush today? I don't think so.
